Our training philosophy is based on precision through practice. Each module combines classroom instruction, digital learning, and supervised field application to ensure a full understanding of both the science and the workflow behind accurate scanning.
This balance of theory and repetition is what makes Xradar-trained technicians the most consistent in the industry. It’s not about memorizing procedures, but about learning to make informed, confident decisions in complex field conditions.
ACADEMY FACILITIES
Online, guided, then hands-on
Xradar Academy is available to every level of learner. Technicians begin with our online Basic Level Course, which provides the foundations of concrete structures, GPR, and then concrete scanning. Technicians continue growth with hands-on support and mentorship from our Training Managers, who offer live guidance and technical feedback.
In the pursuit of perfection, in-person training sessions will deliver real-world, hands-on experience, applying the techniques and processes that define Xradar’s quality standards on actual project sites.
AVAILABLE CERTIFICATIONS
Your pathway to professional recognition
Each certification reflects a step forward in skill, confidence, and field performance. The Bronze Level establishes a foundation in safe scanning and data interpretation. The Silver Level advances this to include complex imaging environments, structural challenges, and quality assurance.
The Gold Level Certification represents full professional competency in Xradar’s concrete scanning standards, designed to take up to 6 months to complete. Achieved only through demonstrated accuracy, field audits, and successful completion of advanced case studies.

In an unregulated industry where minimal training is the norm, Xradar aims to set the highest standards for competence and consistency. In doing this we’ve shared knowledge across the country over decades of experience, and have built a training plan to benefit from this for the future.

Every newly hired technician begins their journey with a rigorous, structured training program that combines classroom theory with practical, in-field experience. This training spans six to twelve months, depending on the technician’s progress, and must be completed before any individual is authorized to lead a project.

We’re currently developing externally-accessible courses through Xradar Academy, focused on understanding scan results, safety, and reporting. They will be available for parterns of Xradar to use at some point soon.
