SERVICE OVERVIEW
Locating utilities inside building structures above, within, and below concrete slabs safely, accurately, and without guesswork. At Xradar, our Indoor Utility Locates service is focused on detecting and mapping the infrastructure living inside building structures, concealed water, sanitary, storm, gas, electrical, and plumbing lines above, within, or under concrete slabs, particularly where floor plans or mechanical drawings are missing, incomplete, or out-of-date.
Methods & Technology
Xradar™ Enhanced Concrete Scanning
Xradar™ is an advanced imaging capability, utilizing GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) technology that provides high-resolution subsurface imaging for safe, precise concrete scanning and utility detection.

Benefits
We provide:
Detection of pipes, conduits, ducts, vents, and embedded utilities within and beneath concrete slabs and floors.
Differentiation of utility types (sanitary vs. storm, water vs. waste vs electrical, etc.).
Mapping of the full interior utility networks for tenant improvements, renovations, and retrofit work.
Overlaying of found utilities onto architectural or floor plans, or creation of a stand-alone utility plan when no plans exist.
Why It Matters
Safety & Risk Reduction: Avoid cutting into unknown embedded conduits, discovering rebar mid-cut, or hitting an unexpected pipe. Reduces risk of structural damage, electrical hazard, flooding, etc.
Cost Efficiency: Knowing utility routing in advance helps reduce wasted cutting, trenching, and material costs. Prevents re-work
Accurate Planning: For renovations or tie-ins, accurate layout below slabs ensures correct grading, correct connections, and avoids conflicts (e.g. sanitary line crossed by storm or electrical conduit).
Code & Compliance: Ensures work follows building code, avoids violating clearances, reduces need for destructive exploratory work.
What You Get
A detailed utility layout, showing pipes, conduits, vents etc., with depth & position.
Marked routes on your floor plan (or ours, if no plan exists) of all utilities inside building structures.
Advice for slab cutting/trenching location to avoid utilities and rebar.
A written report and digital files you can share, reference, and use in planning and construction.
